The people behind the camera
When it comes to choosing your wedding photographer, it's important to consider how you want to tell your story and find someone who will do so in a way that resonates with you.
Art is a personal thing and it's important to invest in photographs that will excite you for years to come!
That is why I believe it's important to connect with your photographer and know who they are so that you can be comfortable let loose and be yourself in front of our lens.
Hi, I am Kris Adler
I was born in South Africa. I have always been drawn to Scotland due to my Scottish grandfather. It has been a dream of mine to live in Scotland for many years. As a child, my grandfather would show me the wonderful landscapes of Scotland (he failed to mention the rain!). I loved to dress up in his Scottish kilt and flat cap. I always wanted to complete the ensemble with his smoking pipe however this was strictly off-limits to me! When I got my first iPod the first song I uploaded was ‘Wi a Hundred Pipers’ , which I would listen to on repeat.
When the opportunity to move to Scotland appeared I grabbed it with both hands. I have loved every minute of it!
My partner and I both love exploring. Whether it’s raining, snowing or the off chance there is sun you can find us exploring Scotland with our staffy and our roof tent.
My phone camera roll is mostly taken up by pictures of my staffy. I don’t have the heart to delete any pictures of her so I spend more than I should on cloud storage apps
My partner and I live in a small village in the countryside. One thing about the country that slipped my mind is the amount of spiders in our house. I am terrified of spiders! My partner regularly hears “Matt there's a spider!”, and comes to the rescue with a cup and paper to let the spider out into the garden. He’s my knight in shining armour.
After work, I love sitting around a fire and reading a book.
When I cook with wine I always do a taste test of the wine first.
Hi, I am Mathieu Viales
I’m a Frenchman who traded the sun-soaked landscapes of my home country for the rugged beauty of Scotland. It wasn’t just the charm of the rolling hills that drew me in, it was also the delightful Scottish accent that made me chuckle when I first arrived. Now settled in a small village, I’ve found a place that perfectly matches my love for nature and the outdoors.
My workshop is my sanctuary. I’m currently, in a wooden rings phase, but my passion doesn’t stop there. Altho I am most interested in wood and metals, I enjoy experimenting with all sorts of materials.
For all that I love my workshop, my wallet hates it. My love for tools has turned into a bit of an obsession, with my partner often playfully interrogating me about the latest package she finds at our door.
“Yes, Kris, I absolutely needed another saw.
Yes, I already had 5. Well now I have six”
When I’m not tinkering away in my workshop, you’ll often find me curled up with a good book beside a crackling woodfire in our back garden. There are few pleasures that compare to the simple joy of reading while surrounded by nature. I love the crackling of wood and the feeling of peace it gives me.
Adventuring is another passion of mine, especially with my partner, who shares my enthusiasm for Type 2 fun. Whether it’s our memorable Christmas camping trip on the Isle of Skye or simply exploring the Scottish wilderness, we’d choose an adventurous getaway over a resort any day!

Our brindle Staffy. There are only three things she cares about: running after balls, chewing on balls, ripping balls apart.
If it’s not a ball, she probably doesn’t care about it. Unless it’s a stick. Then she only cares about three things: running after the stick, chewing on the stick, ripping the stick apart.
“Throw the ball. C’mon, throw the ball. Look at the ball. Yes, you see the ball. Now throw it. Throw. Throw. Throw. Throw it. C’mon throw it!”
